How God will Judge Us: Learning from the Bible

James 2:14-26 Faith Without Works is Dead

There is a common misconception within the Body of Christ and a lot of believers will say, “God does not send you to hell; He only honors your wishes.” God honoring those that hate Him is found no where with the Holy scriptures, but what is found in the Holy scriptures are these words.

Jeremiah 17:10

Brothers and Sisters, this is speaking of the all dreaded and rebuked word known in the Holy Scriptures as “works” or “deeds.”  There is a common belief in the church today that we do not need to do anything to prove our faith otherwise we could be guilty of trying to save ourselves.

Proverbs 24:12

This words within the Holy Scriptures speak of their ignorance of a coming judgment.  There seems to be ignorance that judgment does not apply to believers, and God says this is no excuse. All men are judged not only on their “works” but as well upon their “words.” There will be many who will stand before Him on the day of judgement.

Matthew 7:17-25

How God Will Judge Us: The Lord, Jesus Christ, explained it this way

John 14:1-31

God said we are not just to receive His word but we are to keep His word as well. Saints, to “keep” His word is “works.” There will still be saints sinning when they die and thus are defiled as they had not kept themselves unspotted from the world.

James 1:27

Ecclesiastes 12:11-14

Matthew 12:36-37

The Word of the Lord says to let your words be as few as possible

Ephesians 4:29

Proverbs 17:27-28

Psalm 39:1

Psalm 141:3

Proverbs 21:23

There are many today that are in outright rebellion upon this charge from God

Proverbs 24:12

Psalm 106:24-25

1 Samuel 8:7

Isaiah 1:5

There will be no excuses when we stand in judgement

Matthew 16:27

Acts 20:26-27

We have been given the Holt Spirit inspired written word of God. We are to not just read the Holy Scriptures, we are to become nourished by them and we are to abide in them, live in them, walk in them for we are the ambassadors of Christ.

John 3:16-21

Many today speak the words “God loves you just as you are,” but this is not what God says. God says you are condemned and need to repent of all sins to be converted. God said I give you a choice today, “choose life.”

Deuteronomy 30:15-20

One may argue that these words are no for us under the New Covenant. When someone says this, it is in ignorance because these words were spoken to all of the saints and still apply today.

Romans 2:5-6

Every man has visitation from the Spirit of God, gently pleading with him to change his ways

John 12:48

John 16:8

1 Thessalonians 1:5

2 Corinthians 7:10-11

How God will judge us is the penalty for not repenting, the wrath of God. But if you do heed and obey His words, He pours more words and Spirit out on you.

Acts 5:32

Luke 13:1-5

Faith alone will not save you

Regardless if someone believes in Jesus Christ or not, every person is judged according to his words and works whether if they are good or evil. There are no free passes to escape the fair, equitable, just, perfect, pure, righteous judgments of God. Without obedience we have nothing. Hope motivates us to expose ourselves to the commands of God. We are saved through faith in Jesus Christ, which is belief in what we hear. The evidence of faith is obedience to what is heard. The evidence of obedience is “works” as commanded. We are not judged on faith alone, but on “works” or “deeds” done in faith.

Romans 2:3-9

James 2:14-26

2 Corinthians 5:10

Conclusion – How God Will Judge Us

Revelation 2:23

No one is excused that repeats sin. We are without excuse. People must stand the price for their behavior. The way is clear, listen and obey.
God does not honor your wishes; God judges your deeds.

Instead of saying “God knows my heart”, we need to cry out “God search my heart.”
