The Bible says that we are workers together with God (2 Corinthians 6:1-2).  God’s grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts.  To live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present age (Titus 2:11-12).  God has already given us everything we need to live in this life.  The Word of God and our example to follow, Jesus Christ, but we must follow Him (1 Peter 2:21-25).
