“Desperate For Direction”

“I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

‭‭-Jesus

Have you ever felt lost and disoriented? You know that sinking feeling when you have no idea where you are or where you need to go to find your way? Maybe it was in a grocery store as a child desperate to find your mother. Maybe it was as an grown adult after the pains of an uninvited divorce or break up. Maybe it was in an airport you have never been to. Whatever the situation may have been, being lost is a flighty place which can invoke panic and fear. What do we do with such situations and feelings? Is there an eternal compass to point us home to a haven of rest and peace?

I am so thankful to say there is! Jesus described Himself as the Good Shepherd. One of my favorite descriptions God has given of Himself is Shepherd. This imagery invokes God as our protector, provider and guide through life. Do you know God in this intimate way? Have you experienced His heart to be this role in your life? If not, I want to encourage you to invite Him into your situation and reveal Himself to you personally as the Good Shepherd. David’s words in Psalm 23 will take on a whole new meaning as you experience God as He is,

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake” (Psalm‬ ‭23:1-3‬).

“Bursting With Hope!”

“Pray up. Pack up. Look up! We are going up in Jesus name. We are going to the New Jerusalem.”

~Pastor John Hagee

Our time on planet earth is soooooooo short and of great value for forever. Let us be ready and awake for our victorious King’s return! I do not want to lose sight of the bigger picture and get so wrapped up in the affairs of today, that I throw away investing into eternity. Holy Spirit, stir our hearts with the gravity of eternity and how great you are today!!! ✨❤️ Father, we thank You for Fathering us through life. 🙌

May this song raise your heart and focus to Jesus this morning friend. 🙌🎶
