Sin is when our natural inclinations and desires are given over to lust.  Lust of the flesh (fornication, sexual immorality, drugs & alcohol), lust of the eyes (coveting, jealousy, adultery in the heart), pride of life (guile, selfishness, worldliness).  If the mere feeling of temptation was in itself a sin, then Jesus was a sinful man. The scriptures say Jesus was tempted in every way and yet committed no sin (Hebrews 4:15).
